Things are beginning to heat up outside, so it seems that cool drinks are in demand. Now, I am a water drinker for sure. Nothing quenches my thirst, not tea or soda, just water. Although I love plain water, it can get boring, and it's nice to change it up a bit. I often infuse my water, by adding a lemon wedge or cucumber slices. Yesterday my darling daughter made a delicious blend! It was so refreshing! This inspired her to make a few more infusions, all of them were so good, that I thought I would share her ideas with you.
The ingredients are simple and flavorful. And they also turned out very pretty! So in the first chiller she made, she placed watermelon in the freezer for a couple of hours. She then added the watermelon cubes, and fresh basil to some cold water. Delish!
The second mix, was blackberries and a sprig of fresh rosemary. Simple, yet yummy.
And last, but not least, she added chilled cucumber and some fresh mint, and then muddled the mint. All of these were crisp and refreshing.
She found that making them, and putting them in the fridge overnight adds a lot more flavor. But whether you choose to pre-make them, or just add the ingredients and enjoy, they are a good way to add some pizazz to your daily water drinking!
